Two Tuesdays, one difference
Picture two Tuesday mornings. On the first, the alarm sounds, the phone comes out, twenty minutes vanish into notifications, and breakfast is whatever sits closest to the door. On the second, the same alarm leads to a glass of water, a few minutes by the window, a real breakfast and a short walk before the first email. Same man, same job, same hours in bed. The second morning just has a plan.
The first hour is the cheapest hour to improve. Nobody needs anything from you yet, and every small choice repeats roughly 365 times a year. Below is a template you can borrow, trim and make your own.
The 60-minute template, step by step
Read the times below as a rough shape rather than a strict schedule. Slide things around to suit your commute, your kids or your gym hours.
- 0:00 Feet on the floor. Charge your phone across the room so you have to stand up to silence it.
- 0:02 Water. Keep a full glass or bottle ready and finish it. Our hydration guide covers how to keep that going all day.
- 0:05 Daylight. Open the blinds or step outside for five minutes. Light in the morning is a simple cue for your body clock, and the CDC sleep pages explain why a steady wake time matters.
- 0:10 Move. Ten bodyweight squats, ten push-ups, a 30-second plank and a minute of shoulder circles. Five minutes total.
- 0:20 Breakfast. Aim for protein plus fibre, such as eggs with oats and fruit. More ideas live in our training-day breakfast list.
- 0:35 Your daily supplement step. Chew 2 Soda Steel gummies with breakfast.
- 0:40 Plan. Write your top three priorities on an index card. Three is plenty.
- 0:50 Get ready and go. Bag packed the night before, keys in the same spot.
Three anchors that make it stick
A template only works if you actually repeat it. These three ideas do the heavy lifting.
- Stack it. Attach each new habit to something you already do. After I pour my coffee, I chew my gummies. After I brush my teeth, I do my squats.
- Prepare the night before. Lay out clothes, fill the water bottle, put the gummy bottle next to the kettle. Decisions made at 9 p.m. are free; decisions made at 6 a.m. cost willpower.
- Keep it small. If the full hour feels heavy, start with just water, daylight and breakfast. Add one block per week.
Where the Soda Steel step fits
The brand describes Soda Steel as a daily gummy formulated with six well-recognized ingredients: Tongkat Ali, Ashwagandha, L-Citrulline, Zinc, Maca Root and Tribulus Terrestris. The label wording is "Supports Stamina," "Maintain Healthy Muscle" and "Maintain Energy." The directions are refreshingly short: chew 2 gummies daily, preferably in the morning, at the same time each day.
That makes it one of the easiest blocks in the whole hour. There is no powder to mix and no pill to swallow, and the brand states there is no caffeine or synthetic stimulants and no stimulant crash. Pair it with breakfast and it takes about ten seconds. For a deeper look at building the habit, see our morning routine guide, or read Soda Steel explained for the basics.
Training days, rest days and weekends
Your template should flex. On training days, swap the five-minute movement block for a proper warm-up and keep breakfast a little larger. On rest days, take a 20-minute walk instead; the CDC physical activity basics lay out the general guideline of at least 150 minutes of moderate activity a week plus muscle-strengthening on two days. If you are just starting out, our beginner strength plan shows how to fit those sessions into a normal week.
On weekends, keep the anchors (water, light, breakfast, gummies at the usual time) and relax everything else. Holding the same time for your supplement step even on Saturday is what keeps the habit automatic by Monday.
Your first seven mornings
- Day 1: Water and daylight only.
- Day 2: Add the five-minute movement block.
- Day 3: Add a protein-forward breakfast.
- Day 4: Add your 2 gummies at the same time as breakfast.
- Day 5: Add the three-priority index card.
- Day 6: Run the whole hour on autopilot.
- Day 7: Tweak what felt clunky and repeat.
A bottle holds 60 gummies, which is 30 days at two a day, so one bottle comfortably carries you through the first month of this routine. When you are ready, see the Soda Steel pack options and pick the size that matches how long you want to keep going.
